Baseball Recap: Luther's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Luther took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Davenport, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Lions sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Bulldogs on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lions have posted since April 25, 2024.

Luther saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aden Henke, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run. Those two doubles gave Henke a new career-high.

With the win, Luther broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-11. As for Davenport, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-7.

Looking ahead, Luther is taking a road trip to challenge Little Axe at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Davenport, they will host Prague at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
