Softball Recap: Jasper Comes Up Short

The Jasper Vikings came up short against the Northside Rams on Friday and fell 5-1. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jasper saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Banks, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Another was Emma Lou Franks, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Jasper's defeat dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Northside, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-11-1.

Jasper wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-1 win against American Christian Academy on the 11th. As for Northside, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 9-3 victory against Sumiton Christian on the 11th.
