Softball Recap: Berks Catholic Comes Up Short

If Berks Catholic was riding high fresh off their 12-0 takedown of Oley Valley on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blue Jays came up short against the Fleetwood Tigers on Saturday, falling 11-1. The Blue Jays have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Berks Catholic saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Bradley, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Olivia Harwi also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Berks Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Fleetwood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berks Catholic will square off against Hamburg at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fleetwood, they will challenge Daniel Boone at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
