Softball Recap: Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia Find Success

Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia took a 15-run defeat the last time they faced off against Pleasant Hill, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Trojans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Wolves on Thursday. This was payback for the Trojans, who suffered a 15-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Mylee Tracy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on two hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Raye Greenstreet was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Addison Rohn, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Pleasant Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.
