Fort Worth Country Day and Trinity Valley are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2016, but likely not for long. The Falcons will take on the Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Fort Worth Country Day will be looking to extend their current 15-game winning streak.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Fort Worth Country Day challenged Oakridge on Tuesday. The Falcons blew past the Owls 13-3. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won 17 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Trinity Valley had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Episcopal School of Dallas on Tuesday as they made off with an 8-1 win.

The team relied heavily on Jackson Drake, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Andrew Audi, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Fort Worth Country Day pushed their record up to 23-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Trinity Valley, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 3-13.

Fort Worth Country Day took their win against Trinity Valley in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 16-6 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
