Softball Recap: Indian Creek Falls to Weir in First Game of Season

Indian Creek unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Weir Red Riders on Monday, falling 16-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Redskins of the 4-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Riley Sadler made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Emma Vok was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Indian Creek will challenge Edison at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Weir, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Charleroi at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
