Basketball Game Preview: Valley Indians vs. South Point Pointers

The Valley Indians will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the South Point Pointers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. South Point took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Valley, who comes in off a win.

South Point is hoping to do what Huntington couldn't on Saturday: put an end to Valley's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against Huntington, sneaking past 46-44. While the Indians didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, South Point might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Gallia Academy an easy 66-43 victory.

Valley's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for South Point, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Valley came up short against South Point in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 38-34. Can Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
