While Starmount's win against Alleghany wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rams slipped by the Trojans 23-22 on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for the Rams as they're now sitting on four straight.

Starmount got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Deuce Best out in front who threw for 117 yards and one TD, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground.

Alleghany's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aiden Love, who rushed for 91 yards and one score.

Starmount's record is now 4-1. As for Alleghany, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 4-1.

Coming up, Starmount will look to defend their home field on Friday against East Wilkes at 7:30 p.m. As for Alleghany, they will head out to take on West Wilkes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Blackhawks' defense has only allowed 6.8 points per game this season, so the Trojans' offense will have their work cut out for them.
