Softball Recap: Rialto Knights vs. Bloomington Bruins

After flying high against San Gorgonio last Thursday, Rialto came back down to earth. The Knights took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bloomington Bruins on Tuesday. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bruins apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Cyriah Burkett and Raelene Lozano stepped up to the plate in a big way. Burkett went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while Lozano went 3-for-4 with one run and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Danielle Contreras, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Rialto's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Bloomington, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.

Rialto didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 16-3 loss against Jurupa Hills on the 9th. As for Bloomington, they have also already played their next matchup, an 11-4 victory against Fontana on the 9th.
