Baseball Game Preview: Williams Yellowjackets vs. Hamilton Braves

For the second straight game, Williams will face off against Hamilton. The Yellowjackets are taking a road trip to square off against the Braves at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Williams has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 18.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Williams' offense. They came up short against Hamilton on Tuesday, falling 23-0.

For Hamilton's part, Austin Studybaker was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Studybaker has posted since back in March. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Hamilton got a massive performance out of Jacob Wyman, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave Wyman a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Daniel Leal, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Hamilton's record now sits at 15-6. As for Williams, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.
