Baseball Recap: Poly Triumphs

Poly won the last time they faced Shadow Hills and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Poly Bears skirted past the Shadow Hills Knights 3-2. That's two games straight that the Bears have won by just one run.

Poly's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Burton, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Poly and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 runs over those games. As for Shadow Hills, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Poly has already played their next contest, a 4-2 loss against La Quinta on the 22nd. As for Shadow Hills, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 6-1 defeat against Centennial on the 22nd.
