For the second straight game, Slocomb will face off against Providence Christian. The Red Tops will venture away from home to square off against the Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Slocomb is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Slocomb managed to slip by Providence Christian the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Red Tops came up short against the Eagles on Thursday, falling 26-12. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Red Tops have suffered since March 6th.

Luke Goodman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs while going 2-for-5. Dylan Owens was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

The win (which was Providence Christian's third in a row) raised their record to 7-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Slocomb, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7.
