Northridge came into Tuesday's match looking for another win against Roy, but Dasan Burgos wouldn't allow it. The Royals sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Knights on Tuesday thanks in part to Burgos, who had 26 digs. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 10.7 digs per game.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (102-101) Roy actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 19-25, 17-25, 25-22, 15-7.

When it comes to explaining why Northridge lost, don't look at Finlay MacDougall. Despite the final result, he had 15 digs and two aces.

Roy's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Northridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Roy will take on Box Elder at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bees will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Royals surely won't give up without a fight. As for Northridge, they will face off against Fremont at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
