Penns Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Woodbury Thundering Herd. On the bright side, the eight- point performance marked the Red Devils' highest-scoring contest to date.

Penns Grove's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Woodbury, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5.

Penns Grove didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 27-6 defeat against Salem on the 25th. As for Woodbury, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 24-12 loss against Schalick on the 25th.
