Volleyball Recap: Brookstone Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Brookstone had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Landmark Christian War Eagles by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Brookstone easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-18.

Carsyn Galligan paced Brookstone's offense, picking up eight kills. Galligan got some help from Evangeline Gutierrez and her 11 assists. Galligan also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Priscilla Faga, racking up two apiece.

Brookstone's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Landmark Christian, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-4.

Looking ahead, Brookstone will square off against Starr's Mill at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Landmark Christian, they will take on Northgate at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
