Basketball Recap: Jordan Roberts' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Pleasant View Christian over Dayspring Academy

Pleasant View Christian was the 36-31 winner over Dayspring Academy when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pleasant View Christian Warriors took a 61-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dayspring Academy Shires on Tuesday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pleasant View Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Roberts, who posted 13 points and seven rebounds. Roberts continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Hollynn Carney, who put up 13 points along with six assists and three steals.

Even though they lost, Pleasant View Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Pleasant View Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Dayspring Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Pleasant View Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 60-38 loss against Franklin Road Christian on the 24th. Dayspring Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
