Volleyball Preview: McNair Eagles vs. Enochs Eagles
After both having extra time off, McNair and Enochs will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
McNair is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Bear Creek just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Bruins by a score of 3-2.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, McNair sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-18, 18-25, 25-21, 21-25, 15-9.
Despite the loss, McNair had strong showings from Ryan Cao, who had 22 assists, and Geo Her, who had four aces and one block.
Meanwhile, Enochs was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to Pitman. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Pride 25-20 in the first set.
Enochs started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-16, 25-17, 25-20.
Enochs' loss dropped their record down to 7-18. As for McNair, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-9.
