Recap: Madison Warhawks vs. St. Augustine Saints
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Madison Warhawks can now relate to. They and St. Augustine were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but Madison suffered an agonizing 28-27 defeat. Madison's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
St. Augustine got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brady Palmer out in front who threw for 284 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.8 yards per attempt. St. Augustine also got help from Isaiah Hasten who showed off his sure hands for 167 receiving yards.
Madison now has a losing record at 6-7. As for St. Augustine, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
Madison does not have any more games scheduled as of now. St. Augustine will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Mission Hills at 7:00 p.m. on November 24th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Mission Hills is ranked 37th, while St. Augustine is ranked 51st).
