Basketball Game Preview: Ironton Fighting Tigers vs. Minford Falcons

The Ironton Fighting Tigers will kick their season off against the Minford Falcons on Friday. Tip off is scheduled at 9:15 p.m.

Ironton is hoping to do what Symmes Valley couldn't on Tuesday: put an end to Minford's winning streak, which now stands at four games. Minford simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Symmes Valley 85-42. The Falcons' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

As for Ironton, they've got a clean slate this season. Last year, they had a stellar season and finished 17-8.

Everything went Ironton's way against Minford when the teams last played back in February of 2019, as Ironton made off with a 77-55 win. Does Ironton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Minford turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
