Football Recap: Half Hollow Hills West Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Half Hollow Hills West extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-6. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 48-42 heartbreaker at the hands of the Islip Buccaneers. The contest was a 21-21 toss-up at halftime, but the Colts couldn't quite close it out.

Despite the loss, Half Hollow Hills West still got an impressive performance from Luke Taff, who threw for 193 yards and two TDs on only nine passes, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground.

As for Islip, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.0 points over those games.

Alex Morales was the offensive standout of the game as he picked up 43 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
