Lucerne Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 13-0 to the Academy for Academic Excellence Knights. The match marked the first time this year in which the Mustangs were not able to get on the board.

Lucerne Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Academy for Academic Excellence, they pushed their record up to 6-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lucerne Valley will square off against Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Lucerne Valley's pitchers better be ready for this one: Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy has averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season. As for Academy for Academic Excellence, they will take on Academy of Careers & Exploration at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagle will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
