Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Derrica Motley and Alana Jones Lead Billingsley to Victory

Billingsley hadn't done well against Autaugaville recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Billingsley Bears secured a 31-27 W over the Autaugaville Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 41-24 last Saturday.

Leading Billingsley to victory were Alana Jones and Derrica Motley. Jones dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 boards, while Motley posted 11 points along with six boards and four steals. Jones has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 38 times she's played.

Billingsley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in four consecutive matches.

Billingsley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
