Recap: Morse Shipbuilders vs. Leavitt Hornets

The Morse Shipbuilders's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against Leavitt by a score of 57-50. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Morse also won the last time the pair played on January 2nd.

Morse got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Gage Suitter out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Suitter pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Calin Gould, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds and two steals.

Morse's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9. As for Leavitt, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Morse will be playing at home against Belfast at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Belfast is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Leavitt, they will head out on the road to face off against Winslow at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
