Basketball Recap: Turner Takes a Loss

Turner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Big Sandy Pioneers an easy 40-19 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tornadoes have suffered against the Pioneers since January 13, 2023.

Turner's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Big Sandy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Turner will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Box Elder at 5:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Big Sandy also won't see the court for a while: their next game is against Chester-Joplin-Inverness at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
