It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact King Philip Regional can now relate to. The matchup between them and the Catholic Memorial Knights didn't end well, with the King Philip Regional Warriors falling 39-21. The Warriors' loss signaled the end of their 25-game winning streak dating back to last season.

Catholic Memorial had a senior duo take command as Mekhi Dodd gained 169 total yards and three touchdowns and Lasean Sharp rushed for 148 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Those 148 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Sharp. The team also got some help courtesy of Kise Flannery, who threw for 135 yards and one touchdown on only 12 passes.

Having lost for the first time this season, King Philip Regional fell to 12-1. As for Catholic Memorial, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.
