Baseball Recap: Moore County Takes a Loss

Moore County extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 3-9. They came up short against the Hampshire Hawks, falling 10-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Raiders have suffered since April 23, 2025.

As for Hampshire, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The result was nothing new for Hampshire, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Hampshire's part, Dakota Disbro was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moore County will square off against Hixson at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hampshire, they will challenge Mt. Pleasant at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Hawks' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
