Baseball Recap: Altamont Comes Up Short

Altamont suffered their biggest loss since August 24, 2024 on Friday. They lost 16-2 to the Panguitch Bobcats. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Longhorns' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Altamont saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Harrison Lounsbury, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Altamont and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Panguitch, the win (which was their 20th in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 2-0.

Coming up, Altamont will take on Wayne in a tournament on Saturday. As for Panguitch, they will be taking part in a tournament against Piute at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
