Basketball Recap: Taconic Piles Up the Points Against West Springfield

Taconic was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against West Springfield on Tuesday. The Taconic Thunder claimed a resounding 78-45 victory over the West Springfield Terriers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 78-46 on January 3rd.

Taconic has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.1 points per game. As for West Springfield, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Taconic will take on Pittsfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Springfield has already played their next contest (against Agawam), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
