Basketball Recap: Hammond Find Success

Hammond won the last time they faced Ragin Prep Christian Academy and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Skyhawks came out on top against the Rams by a score of 52-43. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Skyhawks.

Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zymir Robinson-Hill, who shot 40% from the field on his way to 14 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayshaun Rutherford, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten boards.

The win got Hammond back to even at 3-3. As for Ragin Prep Christian Academy, their record now sits at 4-3.

Looking ahead, Hammond will be playing at home against First Baptist School at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Skyhawks will be up against the Hurricanes' rather soft defense (which has allowed 64.14 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Ragin Prep Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Curtis Baptist at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
