Basketball Recap: Brayden Cespedes Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Oakdale

North Hagerstown won the last time they faced Oakdale and things went their way on Tuesday too. The North Hagerstown Hubs snuck past Oakdale with a 59-54 win.

North Hagerstown got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brayden Cespedes out in front who went 5-for-11 en route to 15 points in addition to eight boards and five assists. Those eight rebounds gave Cespedes a new career-high. Landon Somerville was another key player, going 6-for-10 to rack up 14 points along with seven boards and three steals.

North Hagerstown has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points over those games. As for Oakdale, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

North Hagerstown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-61 loss against Tuscarora on the 7th. As for Oakdale, they have also already played their next contest, a 71-55 defeat against Urbana on the 7th.
