Volleyball Recap: Newton (Home School) Extends Winning Streak to Three

Ark City Christian Academy came into Monday's contest looking for another win against Newton (Home School), but Chloe Hoelscher wouldn't allow it. The Mustangs blew past Ark City Christian Academy 3-0 on Monday with plenty of help from Hoelscher, who had 11 digs. She has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last six times she's played.

While Newton (Home School) won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-12, 25-22.

The victory (which was Newton (Home School)'s third in a row) raised their record to 7-4. As for Ark City Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Newton (Home School) didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against St. Xavier on the 18th. As for Ark City Christian Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Life Prep at 5:30 p.m. on October 7.
