Recap: Oakridge Owls vs. Southwest Christian School Eagles
The Oakridge Owls were the 74-48 winner over the Southwest Christian School Eagles when they last played one another back in November of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. Oakridge took a 56-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Southwest Christian School. While losing is never fun, Oakridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 639th, while Southwest Christian School is ranked 136th).
Oakridge's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shavaughn Dunson, who scored 12 points. Kaden Boller was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds.
Oakridge are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7. As for Southwest Christian School, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.
Oakridge's road trip will continue as they head out to face Trinity Christian at 12:00 p.m. on December 21st. Southwest Christian School will take on Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool in a holiday battle at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday at. Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 217 points over their last three matches.
