Volleyball Recap: Lakeland Takes Down Westview in a Playoff Battle

Lakeland extended their postseason success on Saturday against Westview. They put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 3-0 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Lakers have posted against the Warriors since September 1, 2022.

Lakeland can attribute much of their success to RYLEE AMSDEN, who had 11 digs and one assist. That's the most digs AMSDEN has posted over her last three matchups.

Lakeland was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westview only served five.

Lakeland has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-13 record this season. As for Westview, they moved to 18-14 with that defeat, which also ended their four-match winning streak.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Lakeland and Jimtown will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Westview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
