Baseball Recap: College Park Find Success

College Park won the last time they faced Vacaville and things went their way on Tuesday too. The College Park Falcons came out on top in a nail-biter against the Vacaville Bulldogs, sneaking past 6-4.

College Park got a great performance from Sebastian Alvarez as he pitched 5.2 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. What's more, Alvarez posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Connor Berkowitz, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Samuel Johnston, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

College Park's record is now 2-3. As for Vacaville, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5.

College Park wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Cardinal Newman on the 20th. As for Vacaville, they have also already played their next matchup, a 4-3 victory against Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory on the 20th.
