Grosse Pointe South played in-conference for the first time on Thursday and got just the result they were looking for. They blew past the Chippewa Valley Big Reds 10-3. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won 16 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Grosse Pointe South is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 20 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Chippewa Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grosse Pointe South will head out to square off against Lake Shore at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Devils are facing the Shorians at the right time seeing as the Shorians are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Chippewa Valley, they will venture away from home to take on Lutheran North at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
