Meanwhile, Corona del Sol was able to grind out a solid win over Millennium on Thursday, taking the game 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Aztecs.

Gael Aragon and Aidan Bingham scored both of Corona del Sol's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Desert Vista's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four contests. As for Corona del Sol, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-7-3 record this season.

Desert Vista beat Corona del Sol 4-2 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Desert Vista since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
