Baseball Recap: Oak Hall Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Oak Hall can now relate to. They fell just short of the Saint Francis Catholic Wolves by a score of 9-7 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Eagles have suffered since March 7th.

Brayden Farmer made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Lincoln Jones, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Oak Hall and nudges their season record down to 9-11. As for Saint Francis Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.

Oak Hall does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Saint Francis Catholic, they are taking a road trip to square off against Orangewood Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rams' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Wolves' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
