Basketball Recap: Norwood Skates Past Ashland with Ease

There's no place like home for Norwood, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the Ashland Clockers, posting a 70-39 victory. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Clockers are ranked 286th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Norwood's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Ashland, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-15 record this season.

Norwood will face off against Westwood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Westwood will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Norwood surely won't give up without a fight. Ashland has already played their next matchup (against Dedham), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
