The Foothill Tech Dragons will venture away from home to challenge the Dos Pueblos Chargers at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Foothill Tech is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

Foothill Tech is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 14 runs last Thursday, they were much more limited against Trinity Classical Academy on Saturday. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. The Dragons' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Foothill Tech got a good showing from Connor Nelles, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, Nelles gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Foothill Tech saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Gomez, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Dos Pueblos lost 7-1 to Pacifica on Tuesday. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Foothill Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Dos Pueblos, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Foothill Tech couldn't quite get it done against Dos Pueblos when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 4-0. Can Foothill Tech avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
