Basketball Recap: Ephriam Moore Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Port Arthur Memorial

Beaumont United proved they can win big last Monday (they won by 22) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-51 victory over the Port Arthur Memorial Titans. This was a revenge game for the Timberwolves: when they faced off against the Titans back in December of 2024, they had to take a 63-47 loss.

Beaumont United's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ephriam Moore led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and 14 boards. Moore is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ashton Green, who went 9 of 15 on his way to 20 points and three steals.

Beaumont United is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.4 points per game. As for Port Arthur Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-9.
