Basketball Recap: Taylor County Bulldogs vs. Jefferson County Tigers
The Taylor County Bulldogs barely beat the Jefferson County Tigers the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Everything went Taylor County's way against the Tigers on Thursday as the Bulldogs made off with a 54-28 victory. Taylor County didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.
LeeAsia Johnson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Taylor County's points. Another player making a difference was Kourtney Jackson, who scored 12 points.
Taylor County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-11 record this season. As for Jefferson County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
Taylor County will take on the Buccaneers at TBD on Monday. As for Jefferson County, they will face off against the Scorpions at TBD on Monday.
