Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Immokalee's Third in Last Four Outings

Gulf Coast came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Immokalee, but Timarian Howard wouldn't allow it. The Immokalee Indians came out on top against the Gulf Coast Sharks by a score of 62-53 on Friday thanks in part to Howard, who went 11 of 17 en route to 28 points and seven boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Immokalee is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Gulf Coast, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.

Immokalee is taking a road trip to take on Donahue Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Donahue Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Immokalee likes a good challenge. As for Gulf Coast, they will host Mariner at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
