Baseball Recap: Aldine Picks Up 11th Consecutive Win

Aldine extended their winning streak to 11 on Saturday, bumping them up to 17-5-3. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Benjamin Davis Panthers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-4 on Tuesday.

Jesus Hiracheta was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Adrian Brown also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

As for Benjamin Davis, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.4 runs over those games.

On Benjamin Davis' side, they saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Yael Salas, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Aldine will take on Eisenhower at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Benjamin Davis, they will square off against Westfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
