Basketball Recap: Housatonic-Lakeview Takes a Loss

Housatonic-Lakeview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 93-59 defeat at the hands of the Shepaug Valley Spartans. One positive for the Mountaineers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Shepaug Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Reed Woerner out in front who dropped a double-double on 34 points and 11 boards. The game was Woerner's 14th in a row with at least ten points. James Kersten was another key player, going 8 of 17 en route to 23 points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists.

Housatonic-Lakeview's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Shepaug Valley, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.

Housatonic-Lakeview has already played their next match (against Wolcott RVT), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Shepaug Valley has already played their next contest, an 84-53 win against Harding on the 1st.
