Football Recap: Millard North Comes Up Short

Millard North played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Papillion-LaVista South Titans and fell 51-7. The Mustangs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-0.

Millard North's loss came despite strong showings from Cameron Leggett and Zion Rush. Leggett threw for 198 yards on 11 of 21 attempts, while Rush picked up 116 receiving yards.

Papillion-LaVista South got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Derek Jones out in front who rushed for 152 yards and a pair of scores. Jones really tore up the turf during one magnificent 72-yard run. Brady Alderson was in the mix as well, providing Papillion-LaVista South with two TDs.

Millard North is on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3. As for Papillion-LaVista South, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Millard North will challenge Millard South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Patriots have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Papillion-LaVista South, they will take on Westview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 988 yards in their previous games.
