Basketball Game Preview: Cross County Thunderbirds vs. Marmaduke Greyhounds

The Cross County Thunderbirds are taking a road trip to face off against the Marmaduke Greyhounds at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cross County is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Last Wednesday, Cross County ended up a good deal behind East Poinsett County and lost 76-61. While losing is never fun, the Thunderbirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 235th, while the Warriors are ranked 66th).

Meanwhile, Marmaduke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 70-44 to Rector.

Cross County's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Marmaduke, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13.

Cross County came up short against Marmaduke in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 72-64. Can Cross County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
