Basketball Recap: West Ottawa Comes Up Short

West Ottawa lost against Hudsonville back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The West Ottawa Panthers fell 71-60 to the Hudsonville Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 198th, while the Eagles are ranked eighth).

West Ottawa's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Hudsonville, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Ottawa will square off against Reeths-Puffer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hudsonville, they will face off against Byron Center at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
