Spalding Showcase of Champions Invitational features 25 of the region's top programs.

HOLYOKE, Mass. --- The birthplace of volleyball will be a hot spot for the sport this weekend as 25 of the Northeast's top high school teams converge on Holyoke Community College for the Spalding Showcase of Champions Invitational.
The event, hosted by the Volleyball Hall of Fame, Friday, will run from Oct. 12-14 and features programs from Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New York. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $5, or at the door - $6 for students or $8 adults.
"Given the amazing caliber of the teams and their scholar-athletes, along with the fun activities and contests, we have really created a terrific event for all sports fans and their families to attend," said Aaron Patterson, showcase committee chairman and director of athletics for the city of Holyoke. "We invite everyone to enjoy great high-level volleyball at an excellent volleyball facility."
