Basketball Game Preview: Osbourn Eagles vs. Gainesville Cardinals

Osbourn hasn't had much luck against Gainesville recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. Having just played yesterday, the Osbourn Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Gainesville Cardinals at 7:00 p.m.

Osbourn is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They fell to Lewis 43-38.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Gainesville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They blew past Battlefield, posting a 57-17 victory. The Cardinals' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Gainesville pushed their record up to 2-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points per game. As for Osbourn, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Osbourn was taken down by Gainesville 56-27 in their previous matchup back in January. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Osbourn was down 36-14.
