There's no place like home for West Bend West, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Nicolet Knights on Monday, sneaking past 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Spartans have posted since April 6, 2024.

West Bend West got a great performance from Colin Grass as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, West Bend West's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Rose, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another was Mason Micksch, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

The win got West Bend West back to even at 2-2-1. As for Nicolet, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
